1. Concealer is your BFF
Dark circles are one of the fastest ways to make your eyes look smaller than they are. Use a concealer in a triangular shape below each eye. Then use an eye shadow as close to your natural skin color as possible and apply to the entire lid and are below he brow.
2. Contour your lids
Use a darker nude shade to create the illusion of a crease that is higher than your actual lid. You can do this by creating a line right above your actual lid crease. Don’t forget to blend it in!
3. Enhance your inner corners
Use a shimmery, light eye shadow in the inner corner of your eye to make them appear wider. You can also use highlighter to create this effect, applying it to both the inner corners and right below your brow.
4. Avoid heavy dark liner
While a simple winged liner on the top outer corner of the eye will create the illusion of larger eyes, using a dark liner to frame your eyes on the top and bottom will only make them look smaller. If you simply can’t go without liner, apply only to the top lash line about a third of the way from the inner corner and create a small wing on the outer corner. However, be careful not to make the wing too thick or you’ll end up with the opposite effect!
5. Curl your lashes
Curling your lashes is the most important step in creating a big doe-eyed makeup look. For best results, make sure to use your eyelash curler correctly and opt for an ergonomic, high-quality lash curler like EVEDARE Eyelash Curler .
6. Apply mascara to both the top and bottom lashes
Finally, apply a generous amount of mascara to the top and bottom lashes. Pro tip: do not apply the mascara from root to tip, but rather start slightly away from the root of your lashes. This will give your eyes a big, beautiful doll-like appearance.
